4th Annual Comedy Event

comedy eventOur 4th Annual Comedy Event was held on April 25, 2015 at the Villagers Theatre in Somerset. Headlining this event was Keith Alberstadt, who has been featured on the Late Show with David Letterman. Keith had the crowd roaring!! The two additional comedians were Karen Bergreen and Doug Adler, who were also EXTREMELY funny. The theatre was almost filled to capacity and all of the attendees were in GREAT spirits!! During this event there were also 50 “tricky tray” raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing. We were so pleased by the space at the Villagers Theatre that we already booked our date for 2016. Our 5th Annual Comedy Night will be held on Saturday, March 5th so SAVE the date!  We expect to sell out this year!!!

Volunteer and Make a Difference!

Volunteering for FCSSC makes a direct impact in our ability to provide services to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.  We have many opportunities for volunteers to help us better serve the community, and we deeply appreciate all the efforts our volunteers make. Learn about some of the ways volunteers can get involved:

  • Answering phones
  • Filing, typing, organizing, other clerical work
  • Assisting with events
  • Fundraising (ex. selling cookies, reaching out to potential donors)
  • Facility services (painting, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, etc.)
  • Marketing / public relations
  • IT / Computers
  • Volunteer coordination (recruiting, scheduling and oversight)

If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Pat Freyberger at pfreyberger@fcssomerset.org or Richard Schumann at rschumann@fcssomerset.org for more information.
