NEW LOGO

Students in the Graphic Arts Department at Raritan Valley Community College were kind enough to create designs for the new agency logo. Each one submitted several designs to choose from. Members of the Agency staff as well as members from the Board of Trustees voted in their favorites.

It was a difficult choice because all of the artwork submitted was creative and well displayed. Student, Gail M. Jorgensen's design was chosen for the new logo. It will be incorporated into all of our marketing materials and letterhead and is proudly displayed on our website which has also been recently revamped.

Gail studied and received her Associate of Art degree with the highest honor at Carroll Community College. She was awarded a Commercial Arts diploma in

1999 from Somerset County Technical Institute and has been working in the field ever since.

We are very thankful to Gail and Raritan Valley College for the new logo.

Carol has designed an image, which is representative of the work we do and we are very happy with the new design.

The Horizon Foundation of NJ Awards

Family & Community Services of Somerset

with a Grant for Depression Program

FCS is proud to announce that we have received a very generous grant from The Horizon Foundation of NJ. The Horizon Foundation awarded Family & Community Services of Somerset County with a $10,000.00 grant for the Depression Program. This grant will allow us to provide an additional 100 hours of psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults suffering from depression. The psychiatric services include initial psychiatric and ongoing evaluations, suicidal assessment, and medication assessments and monitoring.

“On behalf of both the clients and staff of FCS, we are extremely thankful to The Horizon Foundation of NJ for their very generous and timely grant. Many clients are suffering from depression and this grant will help reduce our waiting lists for these services and will make a definite impact. We are very fortunate to have received the necessary funding for this valuable program from the Horizon Foundation,” said Eric Harris, Executive Director of Family & Community Services of Somerset County.
