Volunteering Family and Community Services has a variety of ways in which volunteers can enhance facilities and programs. Among them are: Board of Trustees Family & Community Services is governed by a Board that includes individuals who reside or work within Somerset County. Members are people who are currently active in the business and social services arenas, as well as those who are retired. The Board meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month. Committees Committees help Family & Community Services function efficiently and effectively. Volunteers with interest or expertise are needed to serve on the Public Relations, Fund Development, Facilities, Board Development and Finance Committees. Computer Tech We currently have six computers networked with a wireless Linksys rounter. The six computers are also using Verizon DSL Internet. Some help is still needed with sharing program/files and occasional computer problems. Not steady, but on call. Other Opportunities There is an ongoing need
for volunteers to help with painting, decorating, electrical work and clean
up. Individuals or groups are invited to participate whenever possible.
We will provide supervision
for all volunteers.
